I chose this photo because it was freshman homecoming and I know in four years I will most likely be going to senior homecoming. I do not know what will happen in those four years besides the fact that its four years of me deciding what to with myself. And in those fours I also know that I will change. change my personality, looks, appearance, and way of thinking. I think its always a good thing to remember who once were because sometimes you can forget, and life gets rough at times like that.
Griet's also changes in the novel. As a maid, Griet is automatically said to fit the stereotype, that of one who can't ''be trusted with pearls'', ''stealing silver spoons'' and ''listening behind doors''. But really, Griet is none of these things, but because of her low social status, she will always be treated as 'untrustworthy'. However, Griet, actually is guilty of such stereotypes. When she first encounters the Vermeers, she believes she can hear ''books and pearls and fur'' in their voices, demonstrating that she, too, makes the connection between wealth and culture, intelligence and artistry.
The story of Griet represented in my picture literally, for example, it is just one thing that is being focused on. While also in Griets liffe she was focusing on trying to fix the mistakes she made in the past, so that she could have a better future.

I completely agree with the fact that we will all definitely change in these next few years of our lives and that we have to try and remember who we are right now, or who we used to be. High school can be like a battleground and we have to keep going and carry on, no matter what life throws at us.
